Media and mining stocks have felt the wrath of the sharemarket this year, with three such companies slipping off the S&P/ASX100, which ranks Australia’s largest listed companies by market capitalisation.
Seven West Media, Boart Longyear and Paladin Energy all fell off the list, making way for online car-sales media company carsales.com, travel company Flight Centre, and construction materials company Adelaide Brighton.
On the S&P/ASX200, gone are Macmohon, Linc Energy, Intrepid Mines and APN News and Media, making way for internet-service provider iiNet, Maverick Drilling and Exploration, and salary packaging company McMillan Shakespeare.
The S&P/ASX50 was unchanged.
