The winners of the 2021 Smart50 Awards will be revealed today in a special virtual awards ceremony.
Since 2007, the Smart50 Awards have recognised Australia’s top 50 fastest growing SMEs. After a break in 2019 and 2020, the awards are back this year with the support of major partner MYOB.
Today’s awards ceremony will be hosted by Peter Strong, the former chief executive of the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia, and feature contributions from some of the Smart50 judges.

This year’s 50 finalists will be ranked according to overall revenue growth over a three-year period, and join an illustrious list of Smart50 alumni, including Atlassian, Choice Energy, Pet Circle, Hunter Mason, Prospa, Vinomofo, Showpo, Adore Beauty, Just for Pets, Cohen Handler and Lux Group.
Awards will also be presented to the SmartCompany Plus Innovator, Smart50 Community Hero, Smart50 Retail Champion and Smart50 Eco Warrior, while the Rising Star Award will recognise the achievements of a fast-growing startup. A major Resilience Award will also be presented in recognition of the way Australian SMEs have navigated their way through the pandemic.
The winners of the 2021 Smart50 Awards will be published on the SmartCompany website on Wednesday evening and included in the SmartCompany newsletter on Thursday, December 9. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
A celebration of winners and nominees will also be held in Melbourne on February 16, 2022, with more details about that event to be available soon.
