The iPhone and the iPad are great business tools, and many business owners have found they’ve been able to increase their productivity as a result of using Apple’s latest products.
But many have also been able to increase productivity by streaming media from their PC to their iOS device.
There are two good methods for doing this. The first is through the app Air Video, which is available on the iTunes store for both the iPad and the iPhone.
Download the app, then set up the necessary software which is available here. After installing the software, login and choose which folders you want to share.
Then, open your iPhone or iPad. Those folders you selected on your desktop should now be accessible. You are now able to stream media from the PC to your iOS device, and even queue files for conversion if they aren’t in an iOS ready format.
The other method is to use the Apple Home Sharing feature. In iTunes, select “Tools” and then “turn on Home Sharing”. This will allow you to stream video to your iOS devices, including Apple TV.
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, and then select the iPod feature. You’ll need to type in your Apple account information, and then you’ll be able to stream media to your iOS devices.
If you have an Apple TV, you can also share photos and use the iPhone as a remote – perfect for business presentations.
