Facebook is a perfect tool to help communicate with your customers, but it won’t be if a hacker gets control of your account and damages your brand.
You want to be on top of your social networking profiles at all times – here are some steps you can take to secure your Facebook account.
- Go to the “account settings” part of your Facebook account by accessing the drop-down menu in the right-hand side of the screen.
- Click the “change” link where it says “account security”. Change the first option to “yes”, and then continue. This will enable you to receive notifications from login devices when you login next.
- After that, you can register separate devices to access your account. Once you’ve done this, Facebook will email you whenever an unregistered computer accesses your account, which can give you ample warning to change your password.
