The 2011 StartupSmart Awards, sponsored by Officeworks, proved to be a fantastic celebration of entrepreneurship last night.
Our Start-up 50, for businesses with over $250,000 in revenue, was topped by Job Capital, which took home the top prize of Officeworks Fastest Growing Start-up.
The award was worthy recognition of the efforts of Jo Burston, who founded with $9 million business after a chance meeting with an investor, Philip Weinman.
There were seven other category winners on the night, but the awards, held at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne, was an invaluable networking experience for everyone involved, whether they walked away with a plaque or not.
Today, we have comprehensive coverage of the award winners, profiles of the top 50 and the secrets of the top 50’s success. Congratulations to everyone involved.
