Transferring content between computers can often be a difficult task, but the Home Sharing feature in iTunes means you’re able to move files without much difficulty.
First, you need to look at your computer with iTunes. On the left hand side of the screen, select the Home Sharing button – you can turn this on by going to Advanced and then Turn On Home Sharing.
Then, enter your iTunes account and select “Create Home Share”. You’ll have to do this on the first computer and the computer you want to transfer files onto – you’ll be prompted to authorise your computers.
Once that’s set up, you’re able to see content on both computers, but it hasn’t been transferred yet.
Thankfully, this is pretty easy. All you have to do is access the content you want using the home sharing feature, and then drag it all into your library. If you turn off Home Sharing, that content will be ready for you to use.
