Belly Armor for expectant mums

Start-up Idea - Baby protectionThe increasing lengths that expectant mothers will go to ensure the wellbeing of their offspring could provide the source of inspiration to an Australian start-up.

In New York, RadiaSheild’s Belly Armor line offers ways in which to protect unborn babies from electromagnetic radiation.

The company states: “Research is increasingly showing that everyday radiation may be harmful for children, even in the womb, but you can take simple precautions.”

“Belly Armor’s mission is to provide you with the knowledge and tools to give your child the best protection, right from the start.”

The machine-washable Belly Blanket combines soft cotton with the protection of RadiaShield fabric to shield babies from 99.9% of incoming radiation.

Meanwhile, the Belly Tee features a lightweight and breathable combination of cotton and spandex, along with the mid-section lined with RadiaSheild fabric for all-day protection from radiation.

The Belly Band provides full coverage for the belly when worn under or over clothes.

It remains to be seen if there is a market for this kind of thing but you may want to be among the first Australian start-ups to take the plunge in catering for the needs of unborn children.
