It’s a bit misleading to say the cabin crew are on $22,000 per year as they are paid in pounds aren’t they?
I heard your interview on 3AW last night and felt that Tom Elliott got you a bit ‘wound up’. You were on the right path though: it is the company structure that needs to change.
My mate worked in management for BA for many years. Apparently you got an automatic pay rise at certain intervals of time so there were all these olds who were never going to leave and who were being paid a small fortune. Many talented staff below these people, in terms of time worked, saw no future and left the company.
