Show me an employee who thinks their boss is their family (Work family is not real family) unless they really are blood relation, and I’ll show you a golden egg that came out of a chicken.
Put the whole issue of ‘why did the employer hire someone with a low emotional intellect?’ to the side for one moment.
It seems incredibly unfair to suggest that regardless of the environment created by the employer the whole burden of responsibility of how connected an employee feels about the company is entirely on them and them alone. An employer’s actions have something to do with it!
I really hope you’re not suggesting that an employee should always be prepared to get shafted by the boss at any second? What kind of a loyal, faithful worker and work environment would that create?
