Sick of using a boring alarm system for your home or business? A Japanese company has unveiled a security robot, able to be programmed by a mobile phone and that can launch a net to capture a trespasser.
The T-34, still in prototype stage, was developed by robot company “tmsuk” and security group Alacom. The device is a small vehicle on wheels, armed with sensors that can detect most moving objects in any indoor setting.
The device can move at a maximum of 10 kilometres an hour, and can be controlled by a user watching real-time images from a mobile phone. The robot can react to body heat and sound, as well as launch a net to capture an intruder upon command.
“Security sensors often set off false alarms, but examining the location with the robot will lead to more efficient operations,” the two companies said.
