The business community will be able to pay their respects to entrepreneur John Ilhan at a memorial service to be held in Melbourne on 12 November, while the traditional Muslim funeral will be held tomorrow at midday at a mosque in Broadmeadows.
Ilhan, who died suddenly on Tuesday of a heart attack, is expected to be farewelled by business leaders, fellow entrepreneurs and the sporting community at the mosque where Ilhan’s father was a founding president.
Ilhan was just 42. But he was a heavy smoker who had been fighting his addiction in the last 12 months.
