What’s the one thing you’d like to do if you knew your days were numbered? Go on then, do it! I dare you.
Like there’s no tomorrow
A lady I very much respect emailed me this week to say she couldn’t attend a workshop I’m conducting this weekend. She said it’s been the worst week of her life; her Mum passed away. I was so sad for this lady, as I know she is very much a family person and this news would have hit her very hard. And it got me thinking …
If you knew you didn’t have much more time on this earth, what would you do? How would you live your life differently? And what experiences would you be sure to cram in?
Or would you be someone who’d just sit there and wallow in self-pity until the grim reaper came to take you away? No? Thought not!!
So, here’s your action for this week. Sit down and write a list of all the things you would do if this was the last month you had left. Make it an exciting list, full of all those things you always said you’d do but were either too busy, too lazy or too poor to do. You know where this is heading, right?
Okay, I know it’s a little unrealistic to tell you to go out there, throw caution to the wind, and live like you’ve never lived before by achieving all of those fabulous things on your list (but, hey, if you’re up for it …). What I would like to suggest instead is that you choose one big thing from that list and make it your mission to do it in the next few months. Just one thing. One thing that will probably leave a most gorgeous memory in its wake.
And, when you’re done with that one, perhaps you may have caught the ‘living’ bug enough to get stuck into the remainder of your list!
