The 2008 Business of the Year award was given to manufacturing provider Machinary Automation and Robots, based in Sydney.
Online babysitter service FindABabysitter.com.au won the Palm Micro-Business award. Tourism provider Bruny Island Charters and Tasman Island Cruises snagged the MYOB Small Business Award, while event company Atlantic Group won the Panasonic Medium Business Award.
Hardware provider Centor Architectural took the AMP Innovation award, and the Telstra Country Wide Regional prize was awarded to environmental design business Clearmake.
Telstra business general managing director and Telstra business awards ambassador, Deena Shiff, says all the winners deserve praise for their success.
“Now more than ever Australia should celebrate the success of small to medium enterprises that are successful, and learn from them,” Shiff says.
