The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) has launched a new Digital Business Kit, which it says will help SMEs engage with the digital economy and take advantage of opportunities arising from new technology.
The kit will take business owners through several “how to” guides covering topics such as connecting to fast broadband, determining an online strategy, using social media and using the cloud.
The kit contains six modules, as well as video case studies and video tutorials, and is the result of a grant awarded to ACCAN by the Department of Communications last year.
Peter Strong, executive director of the Council of Small Business of Australia, launched the program yesterday at the 2014 ACCAN National Conference in Sydney.
“Small business stands to greatly benefit from digital technology,” said Strong.
“The ACCAN Digital Ready Digital Business Kit is a tremendously useful education initiative for Australian small businesses.”
The kit is available for free through the DigitalReady.org.au website.
