Power Play: Let others do the lion’s share of the talking

Power Play: Let others do the lion’s share of the talking

The genuinely influential don’t seem to speak much at all. They are economical with their words and choose them carefully.

They enjoy giving over the stage and find ways to gently encourage others to speak up instead.

Power Players understand that most people like to tell their stories and have the floor, but they rarely get the chance to.

Allowing somebody else to speak while saying very little yourself is not only a gracious act but also shows that you’re not interested in hogging the limelight and are secure in your own persona.

Many people find this hard to do. Real Power Players find it easy. That’s how you know the difference

The story

I have absolutely no story here except to say this: letting others talk takes a load of pressure off you!
