Australian shares fell lower today, losing half a percent after ABS data showed unemployment rose to 5.2%.
At 3pm, the ASX200 gave up 0.58% to 4072.7, while the broader All Ordinaries index fell 0.59% to 4110.8.
The dollar rallied ahead of the jobs data before falling, buying $US1.01870.
