Perth is now among the 10 most expensive cities to rent office space, according to property services group Knight Frank.
Western Australia’s mining boom has pushed demand to new highs, pushing rental prices up.
The figures place Perth at number seven in the world. Sydney also made the list, coming in at number 10.
Central Hong Kong is the world’s most expensive office space at $144 per square foot per year, overtaking London’s West End ($127) as the location with the highest office rents in the world in 2011.
The remainder of the top 10 are Tokyo ($114), Moscow, Paris, Singapore, and Geneva. Brisbane came in at 15th and at Melbourne 21st.
