Sir Tim Berners-Lee, best known as the creator of the World Wide Web, has announced a speaking tour across Australia and New Zealand from late January into early February.
After stopping in Wellington on January 30 for a public lecture, Berners-Lee will deliver a public lecture in Canberra on January 31, before delivering a keynote speech to the 2013 Linux.conf open source conference on February 1.
Berners-Lee’s speaking tour continues with a Gold Coast public lecture at Griffith University, a public lecture in Melbourne on February 4 at the University of Melbourne and a public lecture in Sydney on February 5.
The not-for-profit tour will also include private events at the CSIRO and the University of New South Wales.
