Lenovo reveals table PC (no, that’s not a typo) at CES

Lenovo has unveiled a new table PC, powered by Windows 8, amongst other devices announced by the company at the 2013 International CES.

The computing and electronics giant announced a 27-inch version of the device, named “Horizon”, which can be placed flat on a tabletop or be placed upright and used as an all-in-one desktop PC.

The new device, which is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and NVidia’s GeForce graphics chips, is expected to be released in the US during mid-2013 with a price tag of around $US1,699.

The company also unveiled a 39-inch version of the device, called Gamma, which the company describes as an early concept.

SmartCompany recently reported that a senior Lenovo executive recently admitted that the PC industry had recently underestimated the level of consumer demand for touchscreen devices.

The company also unveiled a number of other PCs, including its IdeaPad U310 and U410 Ultrabooks, a desktop gaming PC called the Lenovo Erazer X700, an all-in-one desktop called the IdeaCentre A730 and a couple of new laptops, the ThinkPad Edge E431 and E531, aimed at the small business market.
