The next generation iPhone will be unveiled on September 12 in the United States, with a release to follow on September 21, according to a new report.
Tech blog iMore has claimed that, according to “sources who have proven accurate in the past”, the release will take place in September.
Such a release would prove earlier than previous years. Last year, the iPhone was announced in October. Apple’s most recent product announcement was the third-generation iPad in March.
The release will be Apple’s biggest of the year. iPhone sales now make up nearly half of the company’s revenue, and a significant amount of its profit.
The new phone is expected to include a bigger, thinner screen, a new dock connector port and a new design.
