Apple has won a major victory in the ongoing mobile device patent wars, winning a court injunction that outlaws sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet in the US.
According to All Things D, at this stage the injunction is only preliminary, with Samsung almost certain to appeal the decision.
The ruling comes less than a week after a patent lawsuit between Apple and Motorola was thrown out with prejudice, with Judge Richard Posner describing the US patent system as being in a state of chaos.
It is important to note that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 is not included in the decision.
