Facebook has just launched a new app centre where developers will be able to sell their wares, while the company also confirmed it will start selling paid apps for the first time.
In a blog post, the company said the App Centre would be available on the web, and on both iOS and Android platforms.
“For the over 900 million people that use Facebook, the App Center will become the new, central place to find great apps…” Aaron Brady said in the blog post.
“Everything has an app detail page, which helps people see what makes an app unique and lets them install it before going to an app.”
The company also said it would use a new ratings system to determine the quality of an app, including user ratings and engagement.
