Qualcomm has said at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that its latest S4 series of processors will be moving to televisions, smartphones and notebooks later this year.
Chief executive Paul Jacobs took to the stage at the show to confirm the latest S4 chips have been teamed up with 70 devices.
“Our latest S4 series Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets will set the bar higher,” he said.
“Consumers demand a seamless experience across all screens, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and televisions,” vice president of product management Raj Talluri said in a statement. “Having Snapdragon processors power smart TVs and digital media adapters is a natural extension of our leadership in mobile and computing technologies into the connected home.”
