Samsung is now making Apple’s A5 processors in Texas, according to a new report from Reuters.
The publication has reported that production has now moved from Asia to the United States, with Samsung producing the processors out of a factory in Austin, Texas.
The report, which cites people familiar with Samsung’s business operations, said the facility has reached full production a few weeks ago.
Samsung also confirmed to Reuters that its facility had been expanded to make logic chips.
However, Samsung will not be building the new A6 processors, which are reported to be made by chip manufacturing group TSMC.
