Samsung and Visa have teamed up to create a phone in association with the London 2012 Olympic Games, Pocket Lint has reported.
The publication has written that according to Visa, the device will be released next year and include NFC capability, although it will be available worldwide.
Visa has reportedly said that it wants customers to be able to enjoy the Olympics while using the contactless technology, and that it is also working on introducing NFC technology to MicroSD cards.
NFC technology is starting to gain traction. Google recently introduced its Wallet system, which allows smartphone users to make payments with contactless tech.
