Apple will maintain a healthy margin on the iPhone 4S, according to a new report from market analysts UBM TechInsights.
The company wrote in a report overnight that the iPhone 4S will cost $US203 per handset to manufacture, pointing to a potential margin of over $US500.
“Technology-wise, you aren’t seeing anything revolutionary or unexpected from the iPhone 4S,” vice president of business intelligence Jeffrey Brown said in a statement.
“As we predicted in July, the iPhone 4S is a moderate improvement over the iPhone 4 – featuring an A5 processor that has been in use for approximately nine months, an image sensor that puts the handset on par with its competitors, and improved battery life.”
The iPhone 4S is set to launch next week.
