Apple has increased its order for iPhone devices in the second half of the year, according to a new report from DigiTimes, which predicts the iPhone 5 will be among the newly manufactured devices.
The publication claims that the total order volume for the iPhone line-up, which consists of the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5, will be increased by 12-13% from 50 million units to over 56 million unites.
Sources have informed the publication that iPhone 5 orders have been lowered for the third quarter, while orders for the final quarter have increased from 14 million to over 20 million.
The publication also predicts that total shipments for the year are set to exceed 95 million units.
