Entertainment and gaming giant Nintendo has suffered a cyber attack, just weeks after its counterpart Sony had its PlayStation network infiltrated.
However, the company said that no information was leaked and that the hackers were not able to take off with any information.
“The server contained no consumer information. The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority,” Nintendo told Reuters. “We constantly monitor our security.”
The hacking group Lulzsec has taken responsibility for the attack, also claiming that it infiltrated the Sony and FBI partnership networks
“The FBI and its partners at the Atlanta Chapter (of) Infragard, a cyber-security information sharing collaborative, are aware of the recent efforts to breach its Atlanta Chapter website. As a precaution, that website has been shut down,” the FBI said told the Atlanta Constitution.
