Renault has developed a technology that allows participants at a motor show to ‘like’ their cars on Facebook, all with the swipe of a card.
As shown on this video, Renault gave visitors to the Amsterdam Motor Show a RFID-enabled card that was then connected to their Facebook account.
When car holders passed by one of the specially-created Facebook pillars in front of Renault cars and scanned their card, the car was automatically then shared on the user’s wall.
“This way, their offline car experience had been shared with their online friends,” the company says.
