Twitter co-founder and chief executive of mobile payments company Square may return to the micro-blogging service in an expanded role.
Dorsey previously acted as the company’s chief executive but now only acts as chairman. It was reported by Vanity Fair recently his relationship with other directors, including co-founder Biz Stone, is limited.
The report claims that while nothing is yet finalised and that Dorsey would not leave the fast-growing Square to take a role at Twitter, his current role could be expanded.
“Twitter is lucky to have the involvement of its founders. As we said last Fall, we’re fortunate that our chairman, Jack Dorsey, has been able to get even more engaged in the company,” Twitter said.
It has also been reported Dorsey has appeared at the Twitter headquarters for regular Friday meetings.
