Internet giant Google has launched Instant Previews for mobile search, the company announced in a blog post overnight.
The mobile version of Instant is similar to the desktop version – users are able to see screenshots of each web page that shows up in their search results.
“For example, if you’re looking for a webpage that has both photos and descriptions, you can use Instant Previews to quickly identify these pages by navigating across the visual search results with a few swipes of your finger,” Google said in the post.
The system has been slightly tuned for the mobile version – instead of the desktop version of sites appearing as a screenshot, sites with a mobile version will show that instead.
Users need to tap on the magnifying glass that shows up next to each web result to see a preview.
