Tech giant Apple will launch the second version of its iPad tablet at a press event next week on Wednesday, March 2, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal.
According to All Things Digital, Apple will hold an event on March 2 to show off the new gadget, to take place in San Francisco.
The report says the venue will likely be the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts.
But while tech pundits are anticipating the next version of the best-selling gadget, it’s unlikely that chief executive Steve Jobs will be in attendance due to his ongoing extended medical leave.
The iPad 2 is expected to come with a number of new features including two cameras, a thinner design, a faster processing chip and the ability to run on both GSM and CDMA networks.
