A new report claims the next version of the iPhone will feature a larger screen, which will place its display size alongside rivals including the Motorola Atrix and Google Nexus.
The rumour, posted by DigiTimes referencing “upstream component suppliers”, says that the iPhone 5 will have a four-inch screen, compared to the current 3.5-inch model.
Given smartphones are constantly upgrading their screen sizes, it makes sense Apple would want to update its display to fit in with the competition.
The rumour also comes alongside reports from Tw.Apple.Pro that Apple is working on three prototypes of the iPhone 5, one of which features a slide-out keyboard.
This follows various reports that Apple is also working on a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone.
