Apple’s hot new iPhone 4 update – screws

Tech giant Apple has updated the iPhone 4 with new screws in order to stop people from opening up the gadget and tampering with the insides.

According to iFixit chief executive Kyle Wiens, who runs a site showing users how to fix their iPhones without having to return to an Apple store, the screws started appearing late last year.

“If you took your car in for service and they welded your hood shut, you wouldn’t be very happy,” he told Reuters.

Wiens said he has been forced to contact a new supplier to make a new screwdriver that fits exactly with the new type of screws.

Sources have said that when users take their iPhone 4 units into an Apple store for repairs, the screws are replaced and customers are none the wiser.
