A screenshot of Google’s new social feature titled Google +1 has apparently leaked online, with TechCrunch reporting a source has confirmed the picture is genuine.
The new feature is actually a toolbar that sits on top of all Google pages, with the screenshot showing the toolbar on top of a Google News page.
A share button has been introduced, presumably so users can pass around different pages on social networks, along with a Google account icon and user name.
However, the picture also features the world “Confidential!” in red text sitting on top of the toolbar.
Google told TechCrunch that, “We’re always experimenting with new ways to improve our products, and we have already confirmed that we are focused on incorporating social elements across Google”.
“But we have nothing new to announce at this time.”
