A new report in the Wall Street Journal claims a new version of the iPhone is coming next year, along with a separate model that will be distributed to Verizon customers.
The report claims that according to people “briefed by Apple”, the tech giant will start “mass producing a new iPhone by the end of 2010 that would allow Verizon Wireless to sell the smartphone early next year”.
The report also claims the gadget will use a Qualcomm chip, along with a CDMA radio.
The report claims Apple will start producing the fifth version of the iPhone, saying that it will be “a different form factor”, although no other details have been given.
