Apple is rushing to bring out a software fix for an iOS vulnerability that allows users to take advantage of the way the Safari browser loads PDF files.
The security leak allowed the Dev Team, famous for its jailbreaking software, to hack into a number of iPhone handsets including the 3GS and newest model, iPhone 4. The vulnerability allows users to jailbreak through a browser.
“We’re aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update,” Apple told CNET.
A number of security groups have already said they are concerned about the vulnerability, and the German Government even warned its citizens about the feature.
However, it is unknown when Apple will roll out the fix to users.
