Social networking giant Facebook updated its Insights dashboard, allowing app and website developers to investigate detailed metrics and analytics.
The dashboard integrates websites and the company’s social plugins, allowing websites using the “like” buttons to access some extremely detailed information about how those buttons are being used, along with desktop and mobile apps.
“Note that this is anonymised aggregate data and does not include personally identifiable information,” engineer Alex Himel wrote on a company blog post. “From there, you will have a better idea of what your audience finds most interesting and capitalise on that content.”
The dashboard also allows developers to view and print graphs, with the service also providing referral traffic for applications and feedback for stream stories, along with a breakdown of which user actions contribute to an “active user” count.
