A British man wanting to discover whether he had been captured by one of Google’s Street View cameras was given a surprise when he found 43 pictures of his wife and family dog on the service.
British publication The Sun has reported Terry Southgate investigated whether he could see his wife on one of the service’s pictures. When he found one, he kept clicking and discovered the pair were in 43 different photographs.
The unusual situation is due to the fact Google Street View pictures are captured by cars with attached cameras. Wendy Southgate followed the same route as the car, hence appearing in one photo after another.
When questioned about her behaviour in the photos, (she seems to be staring at the camera anxiously), she replied that “I didn’t know what it was doing. It was just driving round very, very slowly”.
