A new poll from a shopping and reviews site in the US has led some tech bloggers to predict Apple may not set the price of its upcoming tablet device as high as it may like.
The poll, conducted by Retrevo, found that over 66% of Mac owners found they would be willing to pay about $US600 for a tablet computer, with 41% saying they would pay over $US800 – the rumoured price of the device.
But PC owners weren’t willing to cough up the money, with nearly 66% saying they wouldn’t pay over $US600. The survey also found that 39% of Mac owners, and 59% of iPhone owners, already own a netbook and are planning to purchase one this year.
The Apple tablet is rumoured to be announced by Apple in January, with a release to come in either the first or second quarter of 2010.
