With the Spring racing season upon us, fans across the country are gearing up for the biggest racing day of the year. But now even tech-heads can get involved, with the release of the Melbourne Cup Carnival iPhone app. The app features a digital form guide containing information from the RISA regarding racing fields, forms and results, maps of racing grounds, including the location of the nearest toilets, and the latest news and events.
The Melbourne Cup app, which costs $3.99, covers news and information for the four biggest racing days of the year – Derby Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Oaks Day and Stakes Day.
It also features a “sweep” function, where users can input names and the app automatically draws a horse for each participant. Users can also share photos and view a calendar of upcoming racing events.
Also included are some pieces of trivia to keep you entertained, while the “extras” feature contains information about race entrants including detailed statistics.
