A new database created by the Environmental Working Group in Washington D.C. allows users to see how much radiation their mobile handset emits.
The database finds that Samsung has five phones within the top 10 lowest emitters, but Motorola had five within the top 10 highest emitters. However, the company’s RAZR V8 was also ranked second lowest.
The BlackBerry Storm 9530 was ranked 12th among the lowest emitters, but the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and the two BlackBerry Curve models were named among the highest emitters.
But there’s good news for Australians – only three of the top 10 phones are currently sold in Australia – the LG Xenon, the Motorola RAZR V8 and the T-Mobile Sidekick.
The Motorola MOTO VU204 was named the highest emitting phone available on the market.
