If you use Firefox, there’s a quicker way to get to the website you’re after.
First, hit CTRL+L (L for ‘location’) to get to the address bar.
Now, enter the URL of the website you’re after without either ‘www.’ at the start or ‘.com’ at the end. For example, if you want to visit nba.com, you would just enter ‘nba’. Then hold the CTRL key and hit enter – Firefox will fill in the rest.
If the website you want to visit ends in ‘.net’, instead of holding CTRL, hold down shift. Firefox will automatically fill in the rest.
Likewise, if you want to visit a website that ends in ‘.org’, hold down both CTRL and shift as you hit enter. Again, Firefox will automatically fill in the rest.
