Libraries are one of the handy features from Windows 7 and Windows 8 that seems to have gone missing in Windows 8.1. Thankfully, if you use them, there is an easy way to bring them back.
From your desktop, open up file explorer.
Next, click on the view tab. You’ll notice a button called options at the far end of the ribbon.
A window will appear titled ‘folder options’. Under the ‘navigation pane’ heading, the fourth checkbox is called ‘show libraries. Just select this option and click apply.
Your libraries are back and ready to use.
