One of the better features in iCloud is the ability to sync your purchases across your devices. So if you buy an app on your iPhone, for instance, it’ll show up on your Mac.
You can switch this on in Mountain Lion. Head to the App Store, then hit Store on the taskbar.
There, select auto-download purchases from other Macs. This can work for both your apps in iTunes, as well as your Mac software.
