No doubt you’re using USB keys to transfer files back and forth. But much of the time, you’re probably not ejecting them from your computer safely.
That’s actually a bad idea. Although most of the time things will be fine, taking the USB key out without ejecting it properly can damage files.
Just to be safe, do so safely. Head to My Computer, right-click on the USB key drive, and then press “eject”. Once that’s done, feel free to take the key out of the system.
