Increasingly, people are using one Gmail account to cover a range of different accounts. Thankfully the system allows you to do just that.
If you want to import your mail from another account and use a Gmail account as your primary one, then go to the Settings page, and then click on the “accounts and import” tab.
Then, just simply click on the “import mail and contacts” link, and follow the prompts.
