The lock screen is one of the most important pieces of security on your smartphone. Being able to protect your screen from inadvertent bumps – and people who would like to get a look at your data – is a helpful tool.

But if you want to get rid of it, which isn’t recommended, you can head to the Security settings in Android, then select “screen lock” and then press “none”.

There won’t be many reasons why you’d want to do this, but if you think you can handle the security issues, and then feel free to erase the lock screen completely.
