Tech blog Mashable has posted screenshots of an alleged leak of the Google Chrome operating system, announced earlier this year by Google executives.
The site claims that a source sent them the screenshots, which show the operating system on a laptop computer. It is similar in style to Apple’s operating systems, opting for a minimalist style with a stripped-back user interface.
The pictures have spread across the internet, with many tech analysts claiming them to be forgeries created in image editing software.
Google announced the release of an operating system earlier this year to the surprise of many tech analysts, with some believing the move is an attempt to take away some of Microsoft’s dominance of the PC operating system market with its Windows software.
