If you own an iPhone, it’s likely you use the gadget’s iPod features as well. App developer iLike has tapped into that market and created “Concerts”, an app that shows you when your favourite artists are coming to town to perform.
This simple app determines your location and then displays the names of local artists that will be playing in that area within the next few months.
It also gives information on where those concerts will be held, including an address, and links to websites where users can buy tickets.
An upcoming version of the application will also be able to analyse your music library and determine which of your favourite artists are visiting your home town, and will deliver an alert on your phone before they do – even when the app is closed.
